Opco Financing

Refers to debt financing raised at the operating company (“Opco”), which is typically an entity in a corporate structure where all or a large portion of the operational cash is aggregated.
Debt providers prefer to lend to Opcos, as that would grant them, in simple terms, direct access to the cash of a company in case of insolvency or an enforcement scenario.
